Future Cannabis Strategies Europe 2021

23rd-24th March 2021

What: Future Cannabis Strategies Europe

Where: Virtually

For who: Business leaders from across the wider European consumer-facing cannabis products category and solution providers.

Why: The cannabis industry is achieving new levels of consumer reach and profitability due to changing product regulations, new investment benchmarks and this year’s global change in medicinal status.

The Food Standards Agency announced ON THE 11TH MARCH that they are extending the criteria for which CBD products can remain on sale in England and Wales from 1st April 2021.

This is just one of the trending topics which will be covered in the Future Cannabis Strategies Europe virtual conference taking place on the 23rd-24th March 2021.

From a landmark UN report granting cannabis medicinal status, to European Parliament’s vote to authorise a THC level increase, to the first CBD company to achieve dual validation from European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) & Food Standards Agency (FSA), there has been no end to the regulatory expansion of late.

Investment potential is also growing. The London Stock Exchange has welcomed its first cannabinoids company, which reflected a share increase of 470% on its opening morning.

Future Cannabis Strategies Europe is taking place virtually on 23rd-24th March 2021. It’s a two day event that welcomes some of the biggest brands in the cannabis industry as well as the most disruptive start-ups, including names like the FSA, European Industrial Hemp Association, Tilray, Khiron Life Sciences, and more.

Some of the highlights include:

  • ‘FSA on CBD: The Novel Food Authorisation Process’ from Paul Tossell, Head of the Radiological, GM, Novel Foods and Feed Additives Team at the FSA.

‘CBD Status as a Novel Food: Looking at all the Avenues for Easier Application’ by Catherine Wilson, VP, European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA)

  • ‘Magnificent Waves for CBD in the Medical Market’ by Bijan Christoph Hezarkhani, Business Development Manager, Khiron Life Sciences

This event connects core brands and pioneers from the cannabis community to discuss consumer trends, CBD developments and NPD and brand growth in the field of CBD.
