An evening of discussion on ‘The Future of Medicinal Cannabis’, Thanks to First Wednesdays, the UK Medicinal Cannabis Network.
The evening began with 2 short presentations from Dr Saoirse O’Sullivan, Royal Derby Hospital, around the plant and constituents, currently licensed medicines and why people use cannabis, and Alex Brooks, Canaccord Genuity, on the business of Medicinal Cannabis followed by a panel discussion.
Their panellists included:
- Dr O’Sullivan, Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences at University of Nottingham
- George McBride, Founder and CEO of Hanway Associates (London’s Global Cannabis Consultancy)
- Antonio Costanzo, CEO of EMMAC Life Sciences (European Independent Medicinal Cannabis research innovations company)
- Alex Brooks, Senior Analyst at Canaccord Genuity (a financial services firm)
