Pideka SAS Announces Partnership with Lifford Cannabis Solutions CEO Lisa CampbellBOGOTA, Colombia, March 5, 2019 /CNW/ – Pideka SAS, a Colombian company licensed for cannabis cultivation and processing, has just announced a strategic partnership with Canadian cannabis business innovator Lisa Campbell, CEO of Lifford Cannabis

Jacana is a new UK-based startup that produces certified medical cannabis to provide natural relief for chronic pain and suffering – a problem that affects half of all UK adults. With an ageing population, the demand for alternative pain relief options is increasing, and the medical cannabis market is expected to be worth $100 million by 2025

The startup has completed the first-ever international export of Jamaican medical cannabis flower, securing multiple international licenses and permits, and has furthermore raised €22 million to cultivate, develop and distribute certified medical cannabis solutions. This comes on the heels of the UK’s legalisation of medical cannabis in November 2018.

The 2019 SXSW Festival and Conference steps into America’s legal future later this month, offering three days of insight and debate among cannabis experts, political advocates, scientists, and entrepreneurs. It’s the famed festival’s first-ever foray into cannabis, and it’s all sponsored by Leafly.

This year’s full SXSW opens in Austin, TX, on March 8 and closes March 16. The conference’s new Cannabusiness track opens on Thursday, March 14, at the Hilton Austin Downtown, and runs through Saturday, March 16.

State Senator Jeff Brandes sponsored the bill, saying upon its passage, “We’ve been working around the clock with our colleagues in the House, with the Governor’s Office to come up with a consensus product and I think we’ve done that.”

February 7th and 8th Hanway Associates was proud to host Cannabis Europa in France for the first time.

Just after wrapping up the first Cannabis Europa in London last May, a surprising move towards medical cannabis reform drew our eye to France. While the whole continent is rippling with change, we learnt from our first event in London that bringing the right people together at the right time can have positive effects that long outlast a single conference’s activities. With the French National Medicines Agency (ANSM) recommending the implementation of a medical cannabis regime and the European Parliament gearing up for a vote on cannabis, this conference was perfectly timed to kickstart meaningful reform in France.
